Got a call from a gentleman during the week. He asked me if someone was going to buy a house then they should make arrangements to have a Homebuyers Survey carried out shouldn’t they?
I said to be perfectly frank, a Homebuyers Survey may not necessarily be the best type of survey to go for.
And I explained type of survey I do and how its specially geared up to tell the buyer everything they really need to know about structural condition of a house. Things like:
- Cracking and bulging in the walls
- Sloping floors
- Sagging roofs
- Chimney breasts not prop supported
- Dampness in the walls and floors
He then said that is exactly what I would want to know. And I said that is exactly what I do. So he then said job is yours. How do you want me to pay you?
